The critically acclaimed artist will be performing at the Mackintosh Church this weekend

Critically acclaimed artist Courtney Marie Andrews will be performing in Glasgow this weekend as part of her UK and European tour

The tour, which kicked off in kicks off at Birmingham on 19th October, celebrates the release of her latest album Old Flowers, which debuted in August 2020 to critical acclaim.

Produced by Andrew Sarlo, Old Flowers recently received a well-deserved nomination for Best Americana Album at the 2021 GRAMMYs. It also received International Album Of The Year at this year’s Americana UK Awards, alongside Andrews being crowned International Artist Of The Year.

Alongside the accolades, Andrews has also released her debut book of poetry - titled ‘Old Monarch’, the collection is available now via publishers Simon & Schuster.

Describing the album, Andrews says:“Old Flowers is about heartbreak. There are a million records and songs about that, but I did not lie when writing these songs. This album is about loving and caring for the person you know you can’t be with. It’s about being afraid to be vulnerable after you’ve been hurt. It’s about a woman who is alone, but okay with that, if it means truth. This was my truth this year—my nine-year relationship ended and I’m a woman alone in the world, but happy to know herself.”
