Chubby and the Gang Announce Tour Dates in Scotland
"UK punk's most vital new band" – The Guardian
"The scene's clear front-runners" – NME
Chubby and the Gang, the rising stars of the UK’s Punk Scene, have announced a 40-date tour, including dates in Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Glasgow.
The new tour, which will travel the UK and Ireland through November and December this year, will allow many fans to finally be able to witness one of the most talked about punk bands live after the release of their debut album ‘Speed Kills’ last year.
To coincide with the tour announcement, Chubby and the Gang also shared a new song titled Lightning Don’t Strike Twice’ as well as an accompanying music video.
The brand-new track, which premiered on BBC 6Music, is featured as part of a double A-side 7" available via Partisan Records as well as Spotify and features another new track entitled 'Life’s Lemons'. A new album is also expected to release later in the year
Speaking about ‘Lighting Don’t Strike Twice’, frontman Charlie 'Chubby' Manning said: "I wrote this song about social inequality. Not mine but the people I saw around me. I feel like the whole premise of poverty is presented like this game in which if you play your cards right you can escape. In reality it's more like playing a game of dice when they're loaded against your favour. Constantly being struck by lightning and being told that it will never happen again.”
