Dome, sweet dome

As the nights get colder and darker, those snug moments of warmth and light take on an ever-increasing importance. Enjoying winter nights out with friends seems at odds with that feeling - something Edinburgh's Cask Smugglers have the solution to this festive period.

From a spectacular vantage point on the rooftop of Waverley station, Cask Smugglers have installed brand new 'secret domes' to gather with friends and enjoy some of the best food and drink the city has to offer.

They've partnered with the best in local Edinburgh food and drink to bring a range of luxurious curated packages. Think elegant afternoon teas, charcuterie boards and fine cheese selections - accompanying delectable drinks offerings and cocktails made with Smugglers' own Spirits and Edinburgh Gin.

Food and drink partners include IJ Mellis, East Coast Cured, Great Glen, WellBeing Coffee, Eteaket, Room and Rumours, Aye Pickled, and Edinburgh Butter Company. Vegan options include Earthy Vegan Cheese, Veganly Deli, and Good and Green.

Kitted out with Nordic rugs and throws, the secret domes are a heated retreat from the harsh bite of winter. Think cosy Scandinavian log cabin, with panoramic views of the historic Scottish capital, doting table service - and a private speaker system to boot!

The secret domes at Cask Smugglers are going to be a permanent fixture, offering unique moments that have been carefully designed to create memorable experiences for guests. Each dome can be booked for up to ten people, and each slot lasts for two hours, with packages starting from £25pp. Guests can book here, with bookings open now through the new year.
