Festive fun: Cocktails and Igloos

It seems that Christmas has arrived in Glasgow. The opening of the Cranside Winter Village marks the start of festive celebrations and lasts until 2nd January 2022.

A wonderland filled with ski gondolas, winter snugs, cosy igloos and festive cocktails provides a warm and glittering escape, located in the heart of Finneston.

The open air courtyard has been transformed into a haven filled with food, music and fairy lights making it a picturesque Christmas location. The centerpiece of the village is a giant Christmas tree adorned with twinkling lights and golden star. The classy decorations provide a gorgeous back drop on which to capture all those festive moments.

Feeling chilly? Fear not, you can relax under soft lights wrapped in warm blankets in the super cosy Hygge Lounge with a Laphroaig Whisky cocktail bar. You can even double up on the luxury feast on delicious food in an 8 person private igloo or one of the Kopparberg Ski Gondolas.

There will be resident DJs playing playing disco and club classics every Friday and Saturday, so you can dance the chill away. Then during the day Glasgow's well-known Queens will preform drag brunch events. A delightful and immersive experience that will get you even more excited for the holidays.

What are you most excited for? With festive foliage, garlands, Christmas trees and fairy lights, it is an Christmas carnival surreptitiously replacing the missing markets.

Cranside Winter Village is open from 12pm until 11pm daily at 28 Tunnel St, Glasgow, G3 8HL from December 1st until Sunday 2nd January 2022.
