Today sees rising star Rachel Chinouriri release a p-rallel remix of her latest single “Give Me A Reason” via Atlas Artists Recordings/Parlophone.

The vibrant new remix sees West London DJ p-rallel transform the sultry and elegant original into a dancefloor-ready track. Whilst Rachel’s smooth and soaring vocals are forefront, p-rallel adds a deep pulsating beat alongside luscious guitars to create a dreamy vibe that will have you moving in your seat. Tour DJ for the likes of Slowthai and regular fixture on NTS and Boiler Room, p-rallel has built a reputation for being able to make the whole room start grooving and this remix is clearly no exception.

Speaking about the ‘Give Me a Reason’ Rachel explains “it’s a reflection of the battle within yourself and understanding you’re about to break someone’s heart who’s been nothing but good to you.” She continues “I originally wrote ‘Give Me A Reason’ around a story of a couple who had nothing at all but love however the girl wanted to leave her partner. She needed a reason to leave but didn’t really have one. Break ups are awful and I used to believe you couldn’t fall out of love with someone without a reason but you can. I wanted to emphasise that despite them both being in the same position she still wanted romance, love, affection and still wanted the lavish things despite him doing the best with the cards that he’s been played.”

‘Give Me A Reason’ sees Rachel continue to melt genres together effortlessly with this bold and beautiful new single. Written by Rachel and originally produced by previous collaborator Hylnu alongside Oli Bayston (Kelly Lee Owens, Loyle Carner, Petite Noir) and Tom Henry, Rachel’s vocals soar elegantly over the sultry and intense production. The emotional new single is accompanied by an incredible video, directed by emerging director Rob Akin (previously worked with Novelist), which perfectly narrates the heartache and anguish that Rachel evokes through her lyrics.

“Give Me A Reason” and the “p-rallel remix” follows on from Rachel’s 2019 EP “Mama’s Boy” and her recent single with SAM DOTIA “Beautiful Disaster” which was championed by Michaela Coel during her critically acclaimed series I May Destroy You. Rachel has been applauded and praised by the likes of Dazed, NME, DIY, Colours and many more as well as well as proving her prowess as an incredible live performer whilst supporting the likes of Celeste, Sam Fender and Lianne La Havas at recent shows.
