Trio of showhomes launched in the capital
CALA Homes have unveiled three of their largest and most ambitious showhomes yet, set to launch across two Edinburgh developments.
Saturday 12th June will see the opening of The Wavelery, part of The Avenue at the Ravelrig Heights development in Balerno. The property spans 3700 square feet of living space and is the largest showhome launched by CALA in the region. It also showcases an electric gated fence, self-contained accommodation above the detached garage, and a large garden sprawling over 700 square metres.
The news follows the opening of the brand new sales suite at Cammo Meadows, the fast--selling development in the city's north-west. Its showpiece properties, The Mallaig and the Montrose, will also be opening their doors later this month.
All three properties offer five double bedrooms with expansive and adaptable family space, opening plan living, and high specification fixtures and fittings throughout.

Each of the three homes feature interiors designed by Eileen Kesson of Envision Deisgn. At Cammo Meadows, Eileen sought a modern approach throughout, using neutral tones offset by statement wallpaper and soft gold and pink accents. The Mallaig showhome features a bedroom inspired by a tropical rainforest, designed by local schoolchild Jonathan Anderson of Cramond Primary School.
The Montrose is a five-bedroom family home with open plan kitchen and family/dining area, which spans almost the entire breadth of the house. The flexible living space is further extended via bi-folding doors to the patio area and large rear garden. A separate utility room also has direct access to the rear garden. At the front of the house is a large formal lounge, and the ground floor also features an integral double garage, cloakroom and storage space. Upstairs, The Montrose property boasts a stunning galleried landing where ample storage space can also be found. The luxurious master bedroom features an ensuite bath and shower room, with his and hers sinks, as well as a separate dressing area complete with fitted wardrobes. The remaining four bedrooms all feature fitted wardrobes and have access to either an en suite shower room or the family bathroom.
The Avenue's The Waverley showhome is opulent to say the least, mixing rich deep tones with lighter colours, and on-trend black accents throughout the home. It offers its signature double-height split-gallery staircase, and an entranceway fully papered in a "hot-off-the-press geometric charcoal and champagne wall-covering", with a vast faceted mirror taking centre stage on the landing.

The aim of the interior design was to create a carefully considered blend of contemporary and classic, to allow what is undoubtedly a grand house to become a stylish home.”
The Avenue at Ravelrig Heights is a crescent street of just eight homes, located within the development’s final phase. They feature an exceptional specification as standard, including underfloor heating, electric-gated entrances, and large secluded gardens reaching up to a third of an acre in size.
