WARGASM release double whammy of new track and tour dates

The new metallic rock-band ‘WARGASM’, who have had resounding success and praise from high places, released their new track ‘Salma Hayek’ and announce they will be attending Reading and Leeds Festival next weekend, to the excitement of fans.

WARGASM’s new track is a hot girl summer soundtrack but with a tragic twist, blending genres to create this sultry, rock hit. Band members Milkie Way and Sam Matlock wrote and performed the song.

The band explain; “Salma Hayek is Wargasm’s hot girl summer song. The track transports you to the most nihilistic and egotistical parts of our brains, through the vessel of a sexy Kim Petras inspired chorus, and a metal dubstep (deathstep™) breakdown. A lot of the ethos of rap music is based around posturing and parading your money, your confidence, your clout. We decided to put ourselves in that scenario, and it turns out for us, that story ends in tragedy.”

This fiery, extraordinary and headstrong band is a combination of two strong personalities; Milkie Way is an Irish international model while Matlock is a D.I.Y veteran. They met at a concert in Camden at the beginning of 2019 and something magical was born.

In 2020, the bands track ‘God of War’ became the official theme song for WWE’s NXT UK and they have continued to inspire and garner fans from around the world including, Yungblud and Hayley Williams. WARGASM has also received high praise from NME, Revolver, Upset and more.

The release of their new song comes on the heels of the announcement that they will be performing at Reading Festival Friday 27th August and Leeds Festival Saturday 28th.

Their excitement for performing at these incredible festivals is overshadowed only by their joy of a debut headline tour in November. The rock n rolling duo will start in Cardiff for their War on the Road Tour before they continue around the UK, including a performance at the London O2 Academy Islington which will be their biggest headline show to date.

They will also be the support group for ‘Creeper’ in December and are excited to tour more places in the UK with them.

The band recently performed at Bloodstock and Download Pilot Festival which NME dubbed as a “cyberpunk assault” whilst Kerrang! hailed their set as a “massively compelling performance”.
